Our story

We found our way back to ourselves through these treatments and practices.

Founded by sisters Charlotte and Vic, Sereni was born from our shared experience of wanting to grow, heal and find our way back to ourselves through our twenties but not knowing where to start. Instead of a single place to turn, we stumbled across wellness treatments and practices by chance (through podcasts, therapists and conversations), sharing each discovery with each other as we went.

We're building the home for wellness we wish we'd had when we began this journey.

Charlotte's Story

I have always been an introspective person, feeling from an early age that there was more to get out of life: more purpose, more depth, more understanding of who I actually am and why I do the things I do.

For a long time I kept finding myself in the same patterns: the same relationships, the same loops of behaviour. It was only when I started working with healers and practitioners, alongside the books and podcasts, that something genuinely began to change. I started to understand not just what my patterns were, but where they had come from.

One book that changed everything was The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk. It showed me that trauma and emotional experience do not just live in the mind. They live in the body. That understanding made clear why working with practitioners who understand the body, energy, and the nervous system can move things that nothing else seems to reach.

Working on my self-worth and learning to find gratitude in the ordinary allowed me to shift my mindset in ways I had not thought possible. I believe mindset is everything, and I also believe it is never finished. I never want to be someone closed off to new ideas or unwilling to be proven wrong.

As I reach my thirties, I understand that healing is like peeling back the layers of an onion, with each layer bringing you closer to the version of you that existed before years of conditioning told you who you were supposed to be. Coming back to your own passions, rather than inherited ones, changes everything. Practitioners have been central to all of this for me. They create space for expansion that you cannot always find alone.

Vic's Story

For most of my twenties, I lived a life that didn't quite feel like mine. I'd always had a strong sense of who I was, but somewhere along the way I'd lost this.

It wasn't one single moment that brought me back, but a series of experiences - including energy healers, a Chinese astrologer who said things she couldn't possibly have known, Western astrology, manifestation, meditation, and trying almost every wellness treatment I came across in Ubud, Bali.

Looking back, I can see how much of what I was carrying wasn't really mine to begin with: inherited beliefs, past trauma and societal conditioning, all absorbed without ever choosing them. Working with practitioners helped me understand why things had happened, shed that trauma, and start seeing the world without those inherited and conditioned lenses. I even had a couple of friends comment that something about me seemed lighter - little did they know I'd spent months working with an energy healer, and I was quite literally energetically lighter.

Now, aged 33, I feel so much closer to who I was always meant to be. Not yet fully arrived, but continuously working to get closer to the most authentic version of me.

Wellness practitioners have been central to that shift. They nurture a kind of growth and expansion that's hard to find on your own, and I'm endlessly grateful for what they've helped me uncover.
